Fort Lauderdale, FL, December 12, 2024 – Feeding South Florida, has received a $10,000 donation from the MassMutual Foundation as part of its national Firm Community Service Award (Firm CSA) program, on behalf of Coastal Wealth. The program recognizes firms that have gone above and beyond to serve their communities. Donations will be made to six nonprofit organizations totaling $60,000: one $25,000, two $10,000 and three $5,000 on behalf of the selected firms. Firm CSA winners are selected through a competitive application process, based upon a holistic view of the firm’s community engagement strategy and volunteer work with nonprofit organizations.

The MassMutual Foundation made the donation to Feeding South Florida (whose mission is to end hunger in south Florida in honor of the volunteer efforts of Coastal Wealth, a firm affiliated with MassMutual lead by Harris Fishman, Jeremy Straub and Wicho Hernandez with locations in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Texas. “In a time of challenges and uncertainty, I am moved by the resolute generosity of time and talents displayed by these firms”, says Dennis Duquette, Head of MassMutual Community Responsibility and President of the MassMutual Foundation. “The depth and breadth of their commitment to local, regional and national nonprofits is exemplary.”

Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts and transforming lives through innovative programming and education. Coastal Wealth was established in 2015 and has had a relationship with Feeding South Florida since 2000. “We are very pleased that our dedication to Feeding South Florida has been recognized by the MassMutual Foundation,” said Harris Fishman. “This grant will provide much needed funding to continue supporting our community through its vital mission, exemplified by:

4. Technology Integration: As technology becomes increasingly vital in addressing social issues, the grant will enable Feeding South Florida to invest in innovative solutions, improving efficiency in distribution, outreach, and overall operations.
